Tribunj was once a small town on an island. The old town with its narrow streets and traditional stone buildings with colourful shutters remains the central attraction.
However it is no longer an island, being linked to the mainland by a narrow bridge. And the defensive walls that once surrounded it are long gone.
The old town fills the island. Around the edge you will find plenty of cafes and restaurant. It is fascinating just to wander through the tightly packed streets.
On one side of the island a pop up fish market appears when the fishing boats come in and assorted shops can be found in the lanes. There are a couple of large supermarkets in town if you need to provision.

Overlooking the town is the Church of St Nicholas. It is well worth taking a walk up to the church for the excellent view over the bay and the islands beyond. You can also visit the Turkish fort.
For a more relaxing take, there are a couple of beaches within a short walk. There are usually some water sports on offer.
You no longer have to fight for a place on the quay around the island. There is a large marina next door to the island.
