Though this small town is on a site occupied since pre Roman times, it has shaken off its history and unashamedly gone for the tourists.
With a number of sand and pebble beaches in and close to town, plenty of room for a variety of watersports, and the large fresh water lake and nature park of Vransko just to the north, it is well equipped as a resort.
As an overnight stop for yachtsmen it’s less attractive. Leave aside that the harbour is rather open and offers poor shelter from even light westerly or southerly winds. This is a place for families with cars. With a yacht a your disposal and so many great places nearby, you could do better.
That said, if you need provisions or just fancy a break, you might want to swing in here for a lunch stop.
