Piso Livadi is the port for the nearby town of Marpissa. It is on the east coast of Paros
Once a tiny fishing village, it’s now a popular tourist location. The newly built apartments probably now outnumber the original houses.
However, the development has been tasteful – there are no high rise hotels here. And there are positive spin offs – there’s a good choice of seafront restaurants.
A short walk south around the cape there is Logaras beach. The beach itself provides a couple more restaurants. For those wanting to go further afield there’s a bus service linking Piso Livadi to the rest of the island.
For culture vultures, the local church of Aghios Georgios Thalassiti has wall paintings from the 14th century. It’s on the route to Logaras beach. For those needing retail therapy there’s a small selection of shops. These should be able to rustle up most basic provisioning requirements as well as typical holiday gear.
