Mavrolimnias is a small tree-lined harbour located on the eastern end of the Gulf of Corinth. The well protected harbour has a sense of a safe refuge about it and despite the lack of amenities makes a wonderful stopover when thinking about the logistics of exiting and entering the Corinth Canal.

They charge nothing for the privilege of being there and throw in power and water for free as well! Mavrolimnias is definitely a place to have in the back of your mind on your sailing holiday should you need somewhere to rest and relax in peace or wait out a difficult forecast.
CAUTION: The entrance to the harbour is very shallow (2 – 2 1/2 m) so care and attention is required when entering and exiting and be wary if there is any sort of swell running. Once inside there is plenty of water depth. Lazy-lines are sometimes available or you can deploy your own anchor.
