It’s all change at Kormen. Previously little more than a dock for the ferry from Bodrum, with a lone restaurant, big things are promised in the shape of a new marina.
And unlike many planned developments one hears about, it seems this one is actually happening. Work is reported to be under way with a planned opening date of 2013.
Doubtless the development which I understand will accommodate 500 boats will include a restaurant and provisioning facilities but we’ll have to wait and see what these are like.
UPDATE OCTOBER 2015: Predictably, things have progressed somewhat slower than planned. Reports advise that the mole is now built. It’s now equipped with water and electricity at which point they started charging mooring fees, despite there being as yet no shower or toilet block. So you’ll have to use your facilities on board or pay a visit to the nearby restaurant.
