A small bay now completely filled by the restaurant and its moorings. A short walk up the hill behind the restaurant offers panoramic views of the approaches to Gocek Bay. For those with a little more energy, the local village is a little further away – ask the staff for directions.
When I first visited, you could walk up behind the restaurant and collect your eggs for breakfast, an excellent compliment to the lobster that had provided the previous nights dinner. These days, lobsters are a rare sight and the catering is all done for you, though the prices are also much higher than days of old.
Time has brought some improvements, notably in the toilet facilities, though lacking mains water or electricity, there are no showers. You may also find a barber cum masseur in residence. It remains a charming spot and its location makes it particularly popular as the first or last stop for those arriving or leaving the Gocek Bay area.
