What can you say about a place whose name means three mouths! Like its nearby neighbour Kalekoy, Ucadiz always looks a bit ramshackle to me but it’s just the way it’s built!
Hopefully is will last better than the settlement nearby that sunk and slipped in to the bay in the second century. You can still see the ruins below the water though it’s forbidden to snorkel or scuba dive so you’ll even have to peer over the side of the dinghy or take a trip in one of the local glass bottomed boats.
Easier to see are the sarcophagi of Theimussa, a short walk to the east.
There are three restaurants with their own quays, so it’s the usual drill of eating where you moor. The area can get busy with day trippers during the day but quietens down a lot when they go home.
The restaurants offer showers and will provide bread in the morning. A few basic provisions are also available nearby but there’s no bank machine so come prepared.
