Koronisia is a small island in the Ambracian Gulf, near Preveza. It is connected to the mainland by a long causeway.

Still primarily a fishing village, it draws tourists for its unique location. There are several restaurants, with locally caught fish a speciality. There is no supermarket or bank – with a population of around 170, there’s insufficient demand.

It’s a bit off the beaten track and the harbour is only suitable for small yachts, but it’s an interesting diversion.
