The windsurfing capital of Greece, Vasiliki’s long pebbled beach offers a range of watersports activities. For the less energetic, the village waterfront is lined with cafe’s, restaurants and shopping opportunities and is a pretty place to relax.

Vasiliki lies at the end of a fertile valley and for many years the locals combined fishing and agriculture for a living. Though tourism is now the main trade, the various watersports centres are spread along the beach and the village this retains its charm with only limited accommodation in the village itself.

As well as windsurfing, dinghy, kayak and catamaran hire are also available, and boat trips operate to outlying beaches. Horse riding, mountain biking and scuba diving are also on offer.

There are several mini markets, a bakery, ATM, and a post office. A small ferry runs to Frikes and Fiskardo a couple of times a day.
