FLOTILLA PRICES from FETHIYE

The flotilla gets you away from tourist Turkey, to secluded bays, a number of which can only be reached by boat.

The bays each have their own character. Twenty Two Fathom Cove is home to one of the area’s great characters, Ragip. In the old days he used to run a restaurant in Cleopatras Bay. He was eventually imprisoned for operating without the correct paperwork (which he still denies).

Kapi Creek offers some stunning views and the chance to visit a traditional Turkish village. Cold Water Bay is so called because of the cold water springs which make for a refreshing dip. You can walk from there to an abandoned Greek village. It’s quite a moving sight.

More About The Gocek Bay Flotilla

Joining day is Saturday. Yachts available vary from 32 to 50 feet, including catamarans. There’s a good choice but the newer boats are always in heavy demand so book early if you want one of these.

The nearest airport is Dalaman. The transfer time to the base is about 45 minutes. The operator offers optional transfers.

My flotilla prices include the Transit Log, Flotilla Participation Fee, Comfort pack (including a starter pack of water, beer, soft drinks, crisps, tea & coffee, end cleaning, and bed linen), a comprehensive inventory including navigation equipment, and the services of the Lead Crew.

There’s a choice of lodging a traditional refundable type security deposit or paying an insurance waiver. Optional extras include outboard engine (included on catamarans), wi-fi, stand up paddle board and extra towels.

Some of the bays lack mains electricity or water. So you may need to shower on board due to limited water ashore. Later in the evening, when the generator is turned off, you may finish your meal by candlelight.

The restaurants will supply you with fresh bread each day. For additional provisions, a couple of the supermarkets now offer floating stores. These circulate around the bays so you can shop whilst at sea.
